After graduating, I started doing to some post graduate studies and needed a new place to live outside of campus. Finding housing for my post graduate studies was as easy as simply searching for Edinburgh student accommodation on the Internet. The housing choices were numerous, but I narrowed them down to the best one. The housing that I chose was just the right distance from campus on foot, making it easy to get there in time for class, while giving me enough of a distance to be away from the noise and distractions of human traffic.
When entering my post graduate phase, I thought that things would be a bit harder, but so far, it’s been easier than my undergraduate phase. I think that’s because I know what to expect and have a better understanding of how to use my time wisely. My undergraduate days were full of times where I would have to stay up for hours to complete assignments and study, and I would often have to take many caffeinated drinks to do that. Those days are long gone, as I’m able to plan how much time I’ll need to complete my work and make the necessary adjustments to my schedule without sacrificing sleep time.
Eventually my post graduate work will be over and I’ll completely leave my life as a student behind, but for now I can still enjoy it. I enjoy being around the other members of the student body. Walking through campus has always been a pleasant experience for me, and I’ll even do it when I don’t have to go to anywhere important. It’s a feeling that’s not easy to replicate, and once it’s gone, I won’t be able to get it back unless I become a student again, which probably won’t be happening unless I want to change careers.
